Wupperthal Rooibos Masala is a blend of rooibos and the same eight spices from the family recipe. Since rooibos has its own earthy, robust taste, it could be blended with all eight spices of the family recipe. Rooibos was chosen for the caffeine free blend for Vastu Chai as opposed to decaffeinated black or green because we felt that putting tea leafs (i.e. black or green) through an additional decaffeination process may diminish the flavour and minimize the benefits of the tea leaves.

For us at Vastu Chai, Rooibos Masala is a standard nightcap in the home and we enjoy it made in a pot and brought to a boil with the water. It also is very tasty boiled with milk or milk alternative and sweetener (top milk alternatives are almond beverage or soy).
