Black tea (Camellia sinensis)
Region: Originally native to China, the world market now looks to India & Sri Lanka for a range of black tea offerings.
Flavour: Its leaves are more heavily oxidized than the white, green, and oolong varieties, lending a stronger and bitter flavour.
Benefits: A natural source of caffeine, black tea also contains flavonoids, tannins, and even Vitamin C. The proven medicinal properties of flavonoids include antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antibacterial, and anti-viral effects.

Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis)
Afrikaans for 'red bush', pronounced 'roy-boos', for the distinctive reddish-brown colour of the oxidized leaves of the shrub.
Region: It is only grown in a small area in the Cederberg region of the Western Cape province of South Africa.
Flavour: The oxidized aromatic leaves produce a very robust, full-bodied, earthy flavour.
Benefits: Rooibos is a part of the legume family of plants, therefore caffeine free, and is known for its high level of antioxidants and low tannins. It is anti-carcinogenic, anti-inflammatory and very relaxing.
