Vastu Chai was created from a passion for high quality tea and a desire to offer an ethically sourced & intentionally grown tea line to enthusiasts. Our Traditional Masala, is a blend of loose leaf black tea and eight different spices based on my family recipe, which has, evolved into a rich, perfectly balanced chai masala. The recipe was inherited from my mum passed on to her from my grandmother and great-grandmother who all originate from the state of Gujarat in Western India.

An essential part of the traditional Chai experience is the art of the preparation! Boiling Vastu Chai Traditional Masala and Rooibos Masala, in a pot on the stove fills your home with spicy aroma – at any given time of the day, my home smells like Chai and there is always a pot out on the stove that has been used to make Chai! My morning ritual involves the preparation of Chai with a mantra or pure intention as a start to the day.
